Updating Order Request Status

Go to start of metadata
When components are updated, the package order status changes based on a set of business rules. See Package Order States for more information.

There are two ways to update the order request status:

  • Order fast track - changes the status of all components (and Package) to Successful.
  • Component-by-component - use this method to manually change the status of each component, one at a time.

Order fast track

This is useful when one supplier is responsible for all component orders. Rather than update one component at a time, you can fast track the package to Successful.

To fast track a Package Order to Successful
  1. On the Package Order Request details page, click Complete order.
  2. A confirmation pop-up is displayed. Click "Yes, complete order".

All component orders are changed to Successful. The package order is also changed to Successful.

Component-by-component

This is useful when multiple suppliers are responsible for the different orders. As each component order is completed, you can set the order to Successful. Once all component orders are set to Successful, the package order also becomes Successful.

To change the status of a Package Order via component,
  1. On the Package Order Request details page, scroll down to the 'Components in this package' section.
  2. For the required component order, click on its status to display the state change dropdown.
  3. In the state change dropdown, click the required status.
    • If the state you select is 'terminal' (i.e. a state from which you cannot change afterwards) such as Successful or Cancelled, a confirmation pop-up is displayed. Click "Yes, change the state" to proceed.

The state of the Component Order is changed. Depending on this state, the Package Order state may also change (see Package Order States for more information).

All state changes, and comments, are tracked in the Package Order's History section. See Package Order Details for more information.
