Publish a Package

You can save a package as draft and update it as many times as required to prepare it for publishing to the store. To publish a package, you must complete the required content and pricing information and associate at least one component with the package. A package must have the following before it can be published:

  • A package name
  • A package image
  • At least one Package Pricing Model must be applied, with pricing if applicable.
  • At least one component
  • A category.

You cannot publish a package if it contains any retired components. While you cannot add a retired component to a package, it is possible for a component to be retired after it has been added to a draft package. Any components that are associated with the package that are in 'Draft' change state to 'In Use'.

By default a package is published immediately, however you can set launch and removal dates for the package if required.

  • Launch Date - A future launch date can be selected. The package will not be available in the store until this time has been reached. If 'Immediately' is chosen as the launch date, then the offer will be available in the store as soon as the package is published.
  • Remove Date - A future removal date can be selected. When the removal date is reached, the package is automatically removed from the store.

Publishing a package

To publish a package
  1. Navigate to the Catalog zone.
  2. Click on the "Packages" tab.
  3. On the Packages list screen, select the package to be published.
  4. If you wish to set a future launch/removal date:
    • Click the Store tab.
    • On the Store screen, click Edit Store
    • In the Store Availability section, set the Launch and/or Remove dates as required.
    • Click Save to apply your changes.
  5. On the Package Details screen, click Publish. For example:
  6. A confirmation pop-up is displayed. Click "Yes" to proceed.

The package is published to the store.

Once published

Once your package is published, you can track its sales on the Sales tab. See View Package Sales for more information.

Once a package is published, it is available in the store for purchase by customers when its launch date is reached. If you selected 'Immediately' as the launch date, then the launch date is set to the publish time. Only certain details can be edited for a published package. You cannot alter the components or pricing for a published package as such changes would affect the orders and billing.

Once a package is published, it can be returned to a Draft state at any time, providing it has not yet been purchased.

On the Package Details screen (any tab), click the 'Return to Draft' link. A confirmation pop-up is displayed. Clicking 'Yes' changes the package from Published to Draft, and the package is removed from the store. You can then make any changes you require to the package before publishing it again. You may also delete it if required.

You can also remove (retire) the package from the store, if it is no longer required.
