NB. You can only delete Draft components from the system. Deleting a component cannot be undone. Once a component is deleted, it cannot be viewed or edited.
When a component is deleted, it is also removed from any Draft packages that include it. You cannot delete a component that is included with a Published package, you can only retire the component from future use.
To delete a component
- Navigate to the Catalog zone.
- Click on the Components tab.
- On the Component List screen, select the component you wish to copy. NB. the component must be in Draft.
- On the component details screen, click the Delete link.
- A confirmation pop-up is displayed. Click "Delete" to proceed.
The component is deleted. It is also removed from any draft packages that it was associated with.
