Introduction

What is a package?

A package is your 'Store' listing. A package is published to the Store where customers can then browse and purchase it. You use the package to promote and price the services (components) it contains.

A package is comprised of the five core elements/tabs:

  • Content tab - this content is used to 'sell' the package to the customer, it includes the package name, tag line, summary, package image, and detailed description. At a minimum, your package must have a name and an image.
  • Components tab - this is where you add components to the package. You can either add an existing component or create a new component.
  • Pricing tab - this is where you specify the pricing for the package. You can select from 4 pricing models and specify the base price for the package in addition to prices for components, variations and quantities.
  • Store tab - this is where you apply the store settings for the package, such as the category, whether it is a limited offer, the display price, the launch/retire dates for the store and any related packages you want to associate so your customers are made aware of other store packages when purchasing.
  • Processing tab - this is where you set up email notifications for the package order, and specify next steps and terms of purchase for the customer.

These elements are accessible via tabs on the Package Details screen.

What is a component?

Components are the 'services' or 'items' that your package is comprised of. For example, if "Dining for Two" is your package, then your components are the menu selections: "Entrées", "Main Course, "Dessert" and "Drinks". In another example, if "Home Maintenance" is your package, then your components might be "Roof Repair", "Pest Control", "Home Cleaning" and "Gardening". See Add a Component for information about creating components.

The following diagram illustrates how components are added to a package and the package is then published to the Store.
