Leap Plaza 2.0 was released on Tuesday December 6, 2011 AEST.The following is a summary of changes included in this release. See References and Guides for detailed information. |
Multiple Stores
Leap Plaza version 2.0 extends its capabilities allowing businesses to manage and operate multiple store fronts from one management portal. A business can provide separate customer facing store fronts to logically or physically separated customer groups or communities. The store fronts are managed through a single Operator portal.
At a glance, some of Leap Plaza's current "features" that are applicable on a store-by-store basis include:
- Customised themes - Now found under the Catalog area apply individual themes to your store fronts.
- Terms and conditions - Apply custom terms for each of your stores, or use the default terms you have defined.
- Popular links - Now found under the Catalog area, you can specify popular links per store front.
- Store settings - Use the default settings across any of your stores or define custom settings that are specific to a store.
- Locations - Properties have been renamed to Locations and can be assigned to one or more stores for the purposes of purchasing packages where a Location is required.
- Package management - The same package can be sold in more than one store, while managing a single catalog of packages. It's possible to specify different pricing and 'next steps' for each store that is available to the package.
- Customer accounts - A customer is registered to a single store. A customer account can have the same login credentials across multiple stores.
- Request processing - Filter requests by store for easier processing.
- Reporting - generated reports support multiple store fronts today.
- Web Services API - our integration API supports the use of multiple store fronts

Other Changes & Features
In addition to enabling Leap Plaza to support multiple store fronts, other changes included in this release are discussed below.
Modifying packages and re-publishing
You can make modifications to a published package and not have the changes appear in the store(s) immediately. A notification is displayed at the top of the package screen indicating this. At such time your modifications are complete, you can re-publish your updated package to your store(s).
If you have made a mistake or are not happy with the package changes, there is an option to undo all changes since the package was last published. This means it will revert to the 'version' of the package that is currently available in the store.
You can edit all of the data within a published package, with exception to the pricing model (quotation, one-off, recurring or recurring with one-off) and the payment type (in person, online or on bill). For limited offer packages, you are currently restricted from changing the number of offers available.
Package availability
Setting dates for the availability of a package in the store(s) was revised. If dates are set, the package will only be available in the store(s) between the dates specified. If the current date is past the "Available Until" date, the package will be 'expired' and a notification is displayed at the top of the package and on the Catalog Packages list page. The package is not visible in the store(s) until the dates are updated/removed and the package is re-published.
Note: packages are no longer 'archived' when the Available Until date has past.
Archiving packages
Retired packages are now referred to as Archived. Packages that are archived are terminal - you can't edit or re-publish them.
Customer search
Improved user interface to display search results of customer accounts, including easy to read account information.
Location search
Improved user interface to display search results of locations, including easy to read location information.
Disable customer self-registration
In the general settings area, there is an option to disable customer self-registration. This restricts new customer registrations via the customer portal. Agents can still create customer accounts. This option can be re-enabled at any time.
Disable purchases
In the general settings area, there is an option to disable store purchases. This restricts customers and operators from making any purchases in the store. This option can be re-enabled at any time.
Customer Login ID
For better privacy, new customers will now register with their email address to access the site. Existing customers which were updated can use their current contact email address or username registered with Leap Plaza to log in to the site. Customers that could not be updated must still use their current username, until they choose to change their Login ID using an email address of their choice.
Note: Agent accounts remain unchanged. Existing usernames are used and can be email addresses.
